Ed Pilgrim PT, DPT, CSCS
Performance Physical Therapist
As a sophomore in college, Ed tore his UCL for the fourth time and was informed by his physician that his baseball career was over. After medically retiring from baseball, he began to investigate why his career had been cut short and if there was something that he could have done differently to prevent this from happening in the first place.

Ed’s curiosity led to his acceptance into the University of Missouri’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program. During his time in physical therapy school, he became a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist and accepted an internship with the MU Human Performance Institute. While working his way into an Assistant Trainer position, Ed was fortunate to get to work with athletes ranging from the grade school ranks all the way to the professional realm. In addition to coaching athletes, he also had the opportunity to train individuals with various medical histories, such as COPD, cancer, diabetes, cerebral palsy and many more.

Following graduation, Ed spent the next two years working for EXOS, where he rehabilitated and trained athletes from the MLB, NFL, and UFC, in addition to working with our special forces military. He then returned to the University of Missouri for two years where he collaborated with Mizzou’s baseball, football, track and field, swim and dive, and volleyball teams.

In 2023, Ed returned to his hometown of St. Louis to provide a customer experience that is unlike anything previously available to this market. Ed’s experiences as both a physical therapist and performance coach have positioned him to not only be able to rehabilitate injured athletes, but to also enhance their athletic performance while mitigating the risk of future injury.
